PHOENIX, December 3, 2003 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that it has been selected to provide maintenance and service for 15 years on all Honeywell equipment on AirTran Airways’ existing fleet of 73 Boeing 717 aircraft.
A separate agreement provides that Honeywell supply cockpit avionics and maintenance on all Honeywell products on the 50 firm and 50 optional new Boeing 737 aircraft the airline has ordered. Additional agreements entered into by Honeywell and AirTran Airways include wheels and brakes for the 717 and 737, and selection of avionics equipment.....
