It seems there is quite a large number of Asian or Asian-origin population here in Dublin, so why is there no servicee to and from Asia ?
I assume most of these people go through LHR, CDG or AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA to connect to anothe flight, but wouldn't there be a market for a direct flight ?

There is a very small population base in Ireland, - even the recent growth in Chinese and Phillipino workers here would be very thin pickings for any direct service from Dublin, to anywhere in Asia.
If the service is daily, capacity is too great. Likewise problems with crew overnights arise if the service is not daily.
And of course it is only 1hour 30 minutes to AMS or CDG, where where are many connections, and airlines keen to get traffic.
There is also LHR, which sometimes you have to use also - but best avoided.
Good reasons why if EI have any sense they will stay away from KUL (and also that Malaysia would kill them on service standards)

If you want to fly a larger aircraft anywhere, there needs to be a transfer market for connecting pax.
Since Most pax have destination DUB, there is a small amount who will transfer in DUB.
Even with nearby hudge hubs like AMS and LHR, It would be difficult to make a profit for a direct Asia-DUB service.

First there has to be service from Uruguay to Albania, before there is service from Ireland to Asia!!
Unless I'm missing something what need would this service fill?
