Who flies Miss Universe around the world?

I just finished watching the Miss Universe and I am slightly upset that Australia won the title. I have nothing against Australia. I wanted Paraguay to win, as I thought she was the prettiest on the stage.

Year after year, I always cheer for Miss Venezuela. I am not sure why. I suppose it has something to do with my high school Spanish teacher being from Venezuela. I stopped caring when she did not appear in the final ten. My nationality is India, and I would have been equally happy if India won, but India this year did not have the missuniverse look that India usually produces.

Now to the aviation question:

Miss Universe, after winning the title, spends a year going around the world doing who knows what. What I want to know is who flies her around from city to city. Does the Miss Universe organization have its own plane? Does she fly on the Trump 727? Does she fly chartered planes or commercial? Do airlines have a contract to carry her?

My guess is that they have their own plane, as they are always shuttling her around from city to city. But I do not know fore sure. If there is a Miss Universe plane, are there pics on a.net?

Congratulations Australia!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

AA provided the air travel for the pageant, perhaps they'll also provide transportation for Miss Universe's reign.

We are the people of American Airlines. And we know why you fly.

When Hawaii's Brooke Lee won the Miss USA and then Miss Universe title a few years ago, she was a frequent flyer with Hawaiian Airlines whenever she flew back and forth between Hawaii and the US mainland.
My guess is the winner flies commercial and not by charter.
And yes, I agree with you, Miss Paraguay was da bomb!!!
She should have won.

Aloha

Miss Paraguay was the pretiest in the top 5, but I was cheering for Miss Puerto Rico- who came in as the second runner up. I have no clue what Trinidad and Tobago was doing in the top 5- i didnt really consider her to be very prety . But congrats to Australia- she is a beautiful girl and did a good job last night.
Good representation from Latin America last night- in the top 15 we had
-Ecuador
-Costa RIca
-Colombia
-Puerto Rico
-Mexico
-Chile
-Paraguay

I seriously doubt that the Miss Universe organization has its own plane.

It appears that there was a BWIA DC-9 named after the 1977 Miss Universe, Janelle Penny Commissiong from Trinidad and Tobago.

Yes Puerto Rico and Venezuela are tied for 4 winners each- but surprisingly The U.S.A has like 6 Miss Universe or something like that. But who cares Latin girls are pretier than the girls from the U.S.A =)- Just Kidding

Okay conspiracy theorists

1. Interesting that USA came in #2 and made all of the cuts-Did this have anything to do with the big NA TV audience?

2. I met Ms. USA several months ago at a politcal fundraiser (for Russ Carnahan who will replace Dick Gephart in Congress) when she was merely Ms. Missouri. She came in a gown with her sash and looked totally outta place. No I wouldn't have kicked her out of bed but she didn't seem all that striking to me although she was pretty humble and polite to us geezers.

3. I think they ought to have a Mr. and Ms. Airliner.net contest for us geeks-But unlike Ms. USA which is apprently a beauty contest this would be a personality contest. I'm just not sure whether the best or worst would win.

I bet Miss Australia flew LAN from Australia to Ecuador, and hopefully we¡ll meet her if MU is hosted in Santiage next year

Answering your question: Miss Univerese use to fly on commercial airlines, firts class when available, of course...

And yes, Paraguay was de best, but Trinidad and Tobago was hot! I think she has the right to be up there... did you watched her walking in swiming gown? Love

As Arcano said, I think the easiest way for beautiful Miss Australia to go back home is via SCL with LAN, but who knows.

And I was between Miss Paraguay and Miss Australia. Miss USA definitely shouldn't have been the first runner up.Her face was quite "common".
