Why SIA And ANZ No Star Jets Yet?

Am I right with the assumption that Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand are the only two Star Alliance carriers that never had an aircraft in the Star Alliance paint scheme?

Considering the the time they have been in Star they should have had at least one by now? No?

Above the clouds...it must be beatutiful there

I don't know about ANZ, but I think SQ will hardly get any logojet.

As we know, SQ had 2 "tropical" colored 747s. Their only special schemes.
Both crashed. That's why they don't like special paint schemes i think Insane

Only one of SQ's logojets crashed and that was the 747 registered 9V-SPK. The other one was repainted into normal colours shortly after the tragedy happened.

only cuz ANA painted theirs, leaving SQ NZ alone?
for wahtever reason they choose not do so, leave them alone. these 2 poor guys are just the best 2 in the alliance, they can do quite a lot incld. a RTW on their own. maybe they should quit star and form their own alliance with some other carriers. don't shoot me. just a bit curious imagination

Maybe with the addition of 777s next year and 7E7's the year following, we'll see a Star-painted NZ aircraft. In any case, you'll more than likely see an NZ star scheme before you see one on SQ.

The first 7E7 isn't even scheduled in yet. In any case, the first one won't be arriving until at least 2008, not next year as you stated.

Because they are smart, the new Star Alliance livery is butt ugly, I am glad that there are airlines who refuse to paint one (or more) of their aircrafts in this horrible livery.

Yes, my mistake. Perhaps it's just my wishful subconscious that wants the 7E7 delivered sooner than 2008 Smile/happy/getting dizzy
