Went hideously bankrupt after pseudo-merging with AA, was going to be bought by a US company fronting for AA (IIRC), but the deal was blocked somehow - ended up being (sub)merged into AC, who apparently decided to airbrush CP from history. Sad story.

CP was a very poorly run airline. They drove themselves into near bankruptcy which precipitated the AC buyout. Incompetent mgmt.
Rhys Eaton was good at running PWA as a regional carrier with 732's but he was useless once he brought CP into the fold with their D10 fleet & intl routes.
His successor Kevin Jenkins was the Harvard MBA son of a former PWA director. KJ did the most damage -- he could not manage his way out of a paper bag, let alone run an airline. A silver-spooned MBA airhead.
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.
