Most of the parts for the second plane arrived in Toulouse end of May.
They should receive parts for the third tonight or tomorrow.
(trucks have been blocked 2 hours last night in Gimont by some people on strike)
The idea is to complete several planes simultaneously, to test the process as well.

Merci for the update on the first flying prototype of the A380-800.
I believe that at the rate things are going, I expect the first A388 flying prototype to be completed by late October of this year, exclusive of installing the four Rolls-Royce Trent 970 engines and the painting of the plane.

It's my understanding that the first A380 flight will take place sometime during the first quarter (January - March) of 2005. Is this accurate? Because it seems if they complete the first A380 that will fly in late October they might be able to move the first flight date up a bit. Me, I can't wait to see the A380 take to the skies!

A photo in Flight International of the second forward fuselage ( first flying ) with the radome and lower fuselage fairings, it looks much better than the static test airframe. Waiting for more complete assemblies.
