Air Asia To Issue RFP For 80 Aircraft

Air Asia will launch a Request for Proposals for 80 aircraft.

"AirAsia is going to submit an RFP (request for proposal) to Boeing and Airbus for 80 aircraft," said a source who added that one manufacturer would win.

The airline currently operates B737s.

I have to say it's not a surprise. Over the last few months, Airbus have been pitching their A320 family while Boeing the 737NG. AK might roll over their existing 733 fleet for the new ones.
