Yes it is true.
A warm "welcome back" to BA, one of the first airlines to serve Basle after the second world war and serving BSL for more than 50 years.
Flights are now loaded on BA's website as well as on amadeus.net, showing departures from Basle and arrivals in LHR as following:

Not sure about Luton. I see that easyJet is considering more flights from Basle to the London area and my guess is that they will add a second flight this autumn to STN (currently operating with 90%+ loads).

This is fantastic news. I'm glad BA has decided to take up the route for itself.
So I guess this means an end to the SWISS code-share on the route.
I think SWISS will be more successful in LCY and will attract even higher passenger loads.
