It looks nice - the chaps ties are really good, the orange/red is lovely. Those hats seem to be a British thing, airlines from other countries don't tend to wear hats it seems.

The colour of the lady's uniforms is nice - as you say, very Pan Am (also very 1960's SAA, Scandinavian, and a few others). Looks good though, classy.

There is one lady in the photo in a navy uniform - is that a ground staff uniform ?

Those photos have been out for a while, I spotted them on another website a few weeks back. They are taken at Birmingham Airport I believe.

Well the old ones remind me kinda of KLM. Do the ladies always have to wear the hats, and also can the ladies wear slacks or not?

Well sammyhostie, you must of been at a different photoshoot, as those pictures are definately taken at Birmingham, or you mistook which location you were in, or you are talking a load of BS.  Nuts

You can clearly see on that photo where they are standing on the steps, next to the esculator and the big drapes at the window in the background.

Hahahahah BhX! Very funny.

Do you not think there are places that look similar?! Or even have similar staircases?!

All I know is that I copied the pictures from our Crew Website, and me and where i was at the time aside, the credits clearly say "GLA crew showing off our new uniform with designer Jeff Banks at Glasgow"

So make of it what you will!

Is it really worth arguing about anyway?!

Why do these charter carriers persist with 'glam' uniforms? I flew charter for a few years and it is far from glamorous, it's damned hard work. All crew need a uniform that is smart and functional. As for the hats, these are simply outdated and totally unnecessary. Passengers are not impressed by these details, most of them are only on a charter flight because it's the one that came with their package holiday. None of them are swayed by the uniform.
I flew LGW-GOI-LGW last year with Monarch. The crew looked fabulous but I couldn't help but think how difficult it would be to look so good after a 10 hour flight. Forget the uniform, give these crew a rest area on the aircraft, just like the big boys.
Our old uniform at BA might have been outdated, but it was comfortable and could be washed at home in the machine.

The customer is always right.....unless he is a passenger!

I agree its not worth arguing about, but the MYT website have simply got it wrong. Have a close look at the second photo you posted and the one I posted and it will become quite apparent.  Big grin

Edit.Oh and i thought you said you were there....I can smell bullshit!

BHX,

What are you accusing me of? Pathetic.

I actually work for them! So I know a little more than a teenager student who may occasionally fly on them and spot them.

Im not going to enter some playground slanging match with you in the same manner as other posters would.

Luv2fly,

We have to wear our hats until the doors have been armed.
The ladies do not have the option of wearing slacks.

Rb211ltn

I also used to work for BA, and agree with you!
I could put my whole uniform in the wash and it was fine.
The MYT uniform has to be drycleaned (apart from the blouse)
and it would be nice to have our lower deck on the 330 as a crew rest area on long haul!

Wow really like this new uniform, well done Jeff Banks and MyTravel! I actually really liked the old unform, but this one is better. I think the British Charter crews are now some of the best out there, Thomas Cook, MyTravel, Britannia all have great uniforms! but the winner is Monach, their uniform is sheer class!

Oh and First Choice? well.......

ooooo

Cant wait to see it in person. One big question though, do the hats still make the female crew look like they have giant chins that stick out?
