Hey guys

I am confirmed on NW653 (connecting to NW223) on Friday June 25th... and since I booked this reservation (perhaps 2 months ago), the aircraft has changed so many times! I could understand one or two changes- but so many?? Whats the rationale behind it?

Original aircraft: A320
Switched to: B757
Switched to: A319
Switched to: D95
Aircraft at this point: D93

Pretty soon they'll have to switch it to a 747!  Laugh out loud
(Just kidding)

Nope, the king of aircraft swaps would be good ol' Mesa Airlines. Had 3 planes swapped on me today in one bank while at work.

That sucks! From a B757 to a D93. I booked a trip on NW to GRR and it has not changed a bit.

Nah, someone brought it up on the "Why are Airlines keeping their 732s" thread.

I was just going to respond to the guy who says cherish the chance to ride the DC-9 with why? They will be in the fleet for another 20 years.

Personally, I would prefer the DC-9 to the 757 if not for the reason of having just two seats in each row on the left side of the aircraft. Other than that it really would not make much different to me.

NWDC10-Additionally, and I mentioned this in another thread without a response, is the DC-9-10 anything more than a CR7/E70 with better economics and more cargo room?

Get rid of at least two of the 9's on the LIT-MEM run. They have been running this route for ages!! Replace a couple of them with A319's. It is about time that LIT gets some airbus action!! Nuts  Nuts  Nuts

HAHAHA........Asuflyer05 and Av8erphx.......you hit that one on the head...YV is notorios for their a/c swaps, it gets pretty ridiculous almost every day. Only at mesa could you swap a/c for a delayed flight 6 times throughout the day, and then cancel the flight at 11pm.........pretty sad.

Never happens in PIT for NW as far as I know of. The closest you can get is taking the D85 aircraft that always hits the sack at around 5 Laugh out loud

I was on NW Flight #1667 from DTW to TVC last Thursday. The original aircraft for this flight was a DC9-10. After getting to the gate they changed it to a DC9-30. Once the plane got in from LAN it had a mechanical write up on it so they switched us to another gate and the plane was a DC9-50 that we boarded to TVC. So in a matter of 2 hrs they changed aircraft twice.
