It would be nice if A&E showed a different U.S. carrier rather than seeing WN all the time. I would love to see how CO does their ops on A&E.

Hardie Har Har!

Well, the news has to get around for the lazy people who stay on A.net and never go to A&E's site!

Well watch the original Airline then!

The US should be getting towards the point where Easyjet's Liverpool base starts appearing, with Kevin and the rest at LPL.

NW matters? Please. WN is one of the top airlines and that's just the way it is. The fact they have a popular TV show is just as good. I am pissed it's not on tomorrow night!

WN does not have a TV show. A&E is the network that controls the TV show that only shows WN in it.

AirframeAS,

Your logic escapes me, when someone asks about the show, all I hear is WN not that it is on A&E. Face it it has become a cult thing and it's all WN!!

Not at all, but to say that people relate to A&E instead of WN when it comes to Airline is absurd. Say what you want about the show but it has succeeded in bringing WN and it's inner workings and people into your living room.

Sorry, I side with AirframeAS

Southwest has little to no control over what even goes into that show, and if they have any say, its probably a pre-set amount of minutes as part of agreement to let A&E shoot.

That said, it is not Southwest's show. It's most definately A&E's. And I'd wager a gentelmens bet that Airline isnt boosting ticket sales one bit. In fact, I would be led to believe the show might actually serve as a turnoff to people who dont think of it as "well, that was a bad situation... but look at how they handled it".

I will tell you this though- I like watching it because I get a kick out of the stupidity of some "creatures" on this planet that wrongfully share in the title of "human being"

I will take that bet. To think that the show has not brought new pax to WN is crazy. In fact the more the show is on the more people are going to be fascinated with WN and it's people. No matter what happens on whatever storyline WN handles them mostly well and professionally, only a few idiot pax show up late and disregard WN's policies about arriving a certain amount of time before departure etc. WN still remains the top LCC and it is only growing.

Nik~

I just got to ask this after JBLUA320 asked you in post #9: ARE YOU HIGH?!?!

Southwest didnt approach A&E about making a TV show about their airline, it was A&E that approched other airlines first before asking WN. WN was their very last choice before the other U.S. airlines flat out declined the offer. But now Ive heard that the other U.S. airlines want to get onto Airline for season 2, expecially CO. A&E said no.

Its A&E's show, not WN's. WN isnt getting any royalites out of the show and A&E isnt asking WN to pay for expenses. So in truth, its A&E's show.
