PLEASE select the titles for your threads a bit more carefully - I was already thinking along the lines "Oh, please not another one of those 'The A340-600 is so horrible, all airlines operating it are currently thinking about replacing them with B777s'-threads"...
As for your question - I'm really not sure what you're expecting to hear... are you looking for suggestions as to which seat not to take?

I flew LH from KIX to AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA last month and although I would have preferred if they had PTVs, the flight was fine; cabin crew, food etc. very good. They are working on their IFE and will retrofit their 346s in due course, which makes sense.

Also recently flew KIX-AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA on one! The IFE was none existant for the first hour a guy with a pony tail (i assume to be the engineer from rockwell)was making frantic attemps to get it working! eventually had to reboot the whole system. The crew were a bit anoyed as they had to do the saftey demonstration manually.
I personally found the Lufthansa long haul experience very poor and uncomfortable, not a patch on BA or KLM and miles behind BMI!
Try row 26 A,B,G or H in economy window exit seats! good leg room but no window & the Recardo seats are awful!
The guy sat next to me said the A340-600 was far more comfortable than the B747-400, so I dread to think what they are like!
The flight was late into KIX the Pilot said the origional aircraft had gone Tech & required an engine change so D-AIHI substituted, less than 2 weeks old at the time so I suppose it may have had a few teething problems!
Have to say the A340-600 is very smooth and very quiet & the flex in the wings is really something in a bit of chop!

Recardo...
It's Recaro, dude. But in my opinion, LH has always had awful seats.
Anyway, I agree that the A340 is more comfortable than the 747. Fewer seats across. If you're a couple you will probably get two seats all for yourselvers. And it's quieter.
And the VS 346s rock bigtime.

He DID word his Subject carefully. He said "LH A346 Complains". Meaning SPECIFICALLY, complaints about riding a 364 for LH.

My complaint is that there is no First Class. Is LH going to entirely get rid of F?

Benjamin, as far as they've said, they have no intention of getting rid of First Class - it'll just not be featured on the A340-600 and some A340-300s, but it will remain on the B747-400 as well as some A340-300s, and I would be extremely surprised if they didn't have a First Class on their A380s.

Shit...everybody seems to use that joke by now
Ok, but let me point out that the aircraft will be pretty clean and bear no resemblance to a DC-9...let alone in NW colours
Oh and one thing in serious: They do have a quality problem with those Recaro seats, a lot of the A 340 seats go bust, saw this last week on my way to the US, when I left the aircraft, I could see quite a few seats in economy that were hanging at an unusual angle, to say the least. Fortunately it wasn't a sell-out...but an F/A told me that indeed there is a problem going on that drives the F/As crazy, and LH/Recaro are working on it!
