Question About Transavia's 757's

I was just wondering: Where are Transavia's 757's? Does HV still have them? And if yes, where are they now and when will they be returning?

For as far as I can remember Transavia used to operate 3 or 4 B757-200 in their fleet apart from additional leased aircraft during summer season.

1 B757 has been sold to New Zealand's Air Force.

I don't know where the other aircraft went.

Transavia currently operates a mix of B737-700 and -800 aircraft.

Transavia used to use 757s on their famous AMS-Sharjah-Katmandu service. This was the cheapest way to get to Katmandu from continental-Europe and was frequented by lots of backpackers and budget travelers wanting to explore Nepal and northern India. Does TV still operate this route? If the 757s are gone what equpment are now used?

Transavia are a great airline!

They have always been dynamic with their fleet, leasing in and out various types constantly. They even leased 732s to British Airways before the delivery of their own aircraft in full BA livery.

Their Basiq Air operation is also innovative in that it is a LCC but integrated into Transavia's own fleet ops. So no problems with establishing separate management or fleets.

They are an interesting carrier to watch as they always seem to be doing something new, or doing something differently.

Martinair is now operating once weekly on the AMS-SHJ-KTM route but only during winter season. No direct flights are offered from AMS during summer season.
Equipment: B767-300ER.
