On a customer appointment today in Mukilteo, WA, I drove by the Boeing plant in Everett. I only saw 4 777's outside - one SQ, one JAL ( I think this one was a 773, hard to see from a distance), one ANA (in Star Alliance colors), and one other 772. Usually I see a lot more shiny new planes on the tarmac. Rare not to see one 747 (unless it was hidden). Did I just catch the plant on a slow day?

Yeah, I live about 2 miles SE of the airfield, and it's really hit and miss when it comes to spotting opportunities. I'd recommend BFI (Boeing Field) between downtown Seattle and SEA. Much greater variety and frequency of activity there. Plus, drop in and see the new Concorde, as well as everything else at the Museum of Flight...it's really spectacular!

I took the tour at the plant about 2 weeks ago. It was really slow there, especially on the 747 line. There was only 2 1/2 planes under construction and they were all freighters. The tour guide was a little depressed about it.
