OK...here's the deal...I'm on UA 689 LGA-ORD, connecting to UA 653 ORD-IAH...LGA just escaped from a ground stop, meaning 689 will be delayed...fortunately, 653 is coming from EWR, which is STILL in a ground stop, and will be for another 10 minutes...please keep me posted, I'll try to get onto a.net during my layover in ORD, and will be on a.net until I get onto the plane at LGA...

Offhand, with both aircraft being delayed coming out of the New York area into ORD, I'd say that you'll be making your connection. There's also a chance, given the weather along the Gulf Coast, that IAH could also see its own groundstop/ground delay program. If that happens, your ORD-IAH could take additional delay, and thus give you a bigger connection window at ORD..

OPNLguy-Forgot about the IAH thing...they are showing close to a 2-hour delay...BTW, my inbound flight (which had been diverted to Harrisburg) just pushed back from the gate...

Wilco-An IAH delay only helps me...that said, I still need help from an insider regarding flights 689 (LGA-ORD) and 653 (EWR-ORD-IAH)...then again, channel 9 should help...
