Question About F9's DirecTV Service

This Monday I'll be taking Frontier to SEA and this will be the first time I will be on one of their A319's. (IAH is served with the 733).
I called Frontier and they couldn't answer these questions.

1. Can I use my own set of headphones with their DirecTV service?
Like the kind I have with my Sony Discman?
(I think the sound quality would be better).

2. If you don't pay the $5.00, do you get just the AirMap, or nothing at all?

3. Do they provision limes onboard the A/C or should I bring my own?

Thanks!

1) Yes, you can use your own headphones. There's a standard stereo jack at each seat. They also distribute freebies, but they're bare minimum -- bring yours instead.

2) If you don't pay, you get free TV until right after you take off, then just the AirMap.

3) No idea whatsoever.

Thank you for your answers. I appreciate it.
I'll bring my own just to be on the safe side.

Type-rated, yes, we have limes on our aircraft. They work well with the pre-mixed Margaritas that are available for purchase.

I know some of you may think that's a silly question about the limes, but I can't tell you how many times I have heard the F/A say (usually with a frown) "I'm sorry, we don't have those".

Also, I was told when I made my reservation that rows 1-6 are "reserved" for Early Rewards "upper level" pax. I am a member of Early Rewards, but not silver, gold, etc. or anything. What are my chances? (F9 268/811 06/28)

Generally, the first six rows are reserved for Ascent and Summit level EarlyReturns members; however, the number of Ascent and Summit members flying varies from flight to flight. Should the seats not get occupied with these Ascent/Summit passengers, we try to give those seats to regular EarlyReturns members first. The first six rows are assigned on the day of departure only, so if you check in online on the day of departure or show up at the airport earlier then usual for check in, the chances are good that you'll get one of those seats.  Smile Hope that helped somewhat!

Actually, I looked at Frontier's website and didn't see an online check in option. Under what heading on the website is it?

Thanks again!

On the main page of http://www.frontierairlines.com, right underneath all the "Book it Online" options, there is the text "Click here to check in online: FlexCheck" ...I think thats what your looking for...

Have a good trip!

Immediately under the booking section (left side) there's a big sign saying "Flexcheck".

Click on that.

Thanks guys, sometimes I feel soooooo stupid! Embarrassment

I am actually very excited to take this trip on Frontier. I plan to write a trip report when I return. They really fill those 737s out of IAH!
