Hello! I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some info about ATA flight 168 (MDW-BOS) on July 2nd. I'm asking because when I was attempting to choose my seat assignment and all of the seats were already reserved. This made me think that the flight was possibly overbooked, especially because of the holiday weekend. Anyway, any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The absolute secret to getting a great seat on a full flight is to check-in online 24 hours prior to flight departure. See www.ATA.com to do this.

Either that or show up hours early at the airport. Your choice  Laugh out loud

Hey Joe.....

Have you been checking the loads out of DAY recently??? We've been smoking every station besides IND(because they have 16 flights a day!). Just for the month of June we've enplaned over 5,400 passengers....and that's with almost daily rerouting of passengers because of MDW's dreaded ATC delays.

Rumors are swirling with the talk of acquiring 717's.....possibly service out of DAY???

Well....to get back to topic....do just as Joe said and check in online.....you can show up to MDW early.....but that would be one big pain in the ass!!!

Chris

Sorry... another question.... So, if I check in online within 24 hours of my flight I will be able to choose my seat during the process???

You sure will. Any seat not pre-assigned, already checked into, or blocked with certain codes can be yours. You should have a nice selection at the 24 hour mark.

Thanks for you help everyone. I got the exact seat that I wanted (1A)! Too bad it's not first class  Big grin. Does anyone know if there is a window at this seat (737-800)? I wasn't sure because of the seat being so far forward and seatguru.com didn't say. Anyway, thanks!

Hmm. 170 seats out of 175 sold with 4 non revs. Try to get 16A or 16F on TZ 737-800s. They are the best seats in the house unless you want a bulkhead, 1ABC or 2DEF. Check in early bud. Oops. I just read the last post. Yes, there is a window at 1A.

Yeah. And that Dayton flight is full. 21 seats available for the same day, since I was looking, out of 231 available all day. 7 flights with 33 available on each! Go [Easy] ATA!

So I feel like a huge pest, but I really appreciate all of your helpful information everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew the specific aircraft that I would be flying on. I have always wanted to fly on a 'very' new aircraft and this is probably my closest shot, being that all of ATA's 737 have been delivered within the past 2 two years or so. Anyway, any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

It's no problem, except I have tried all the ways I know of to find out the a/c number. I know the crew, but not the registration. I hope it is N333TZ for you. That is our newest 737-800.
