Set to open in early 2007, Miami's local NBC affiliate provides a look at the much delayed and very expensive new North Terminal project at MIA. The new 1-mile long terminal will be home to American Airlines and thier oneWorld partners. It is a key part in AA's MIA expansion. By 2008, American Airlines and American Eagle plan to operate about 330 daily flights into and out of Miami (from about 240 today). The schedule expansion, began in June 2002, has already launched 12 new non-stop routes, with four more announced and being launched soon (Bermuda, Manchester, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts & Nevis).
