British Airways Moves To McNamara Terminal

I will be heading up there on the 3rd of August, what gate will they operate out of and what time does the flight arrive/depart. It should be interesting to see among all of the silver and red aircraft.

Delta is supposed to be moving over once we join the SkyTeam Alliance in September. If Air France was to start service to DTW, I think it's a given they would be in and out of the World Gateway.

LH is already there, so we have NW,CO, LH, soon BA and maybe one day KL again and I am sure we will see DL over there once construction is done.

I wouldn't be surpized to see AF there one of these days, with KL/AF/NW partnership it's only logical.

I like the "unbiased" press release. As if Yahoo really needed to put "Source: British Airways" next to a headline that reads Detroit Service Becomes Even Better.

Anyway, quick question: Where is BA going to park? I'm assuming near the A60/64/68 area, near LH, but I haven't heard anything definite yet.

BA has a pre-assigned gate at A50 or something. It's next to the LH operates out of. If you look on the back part of the podium on either side of the display monitor, one has an LH the other has a BA logo on it.

I had planned checking in in Berry then popping over to McNamara before the flight, no need now.
While I'm on does anyone know if there is a non airline lounge which is bookable for a fee in the McNamara terminal similar to those in Europe.

Because it is the Northwest Worldgateway a.k.a. The McNamara Terminal. Most of us Detroiters think it is an outrage that the Wayne County commissioner named the building after himself, that's why!

Where does Royal Jordanian park their A340??? If they park at the Berry "Dump"ernational terminal, when will they be moving to the McNamara terminal?? Shouldn't be hard for them to get gate space...their flight doesn't arrive until 9p .... it then departs at 11p (Monday and Wednesday only).
