I’m trying to find out if the MAN-YYZ BMI service will be running next summer. I am trying to find out from Air Canada and BMI but to no avail, I have read so much about how good the BMI service is I really want to give them a try. Using LHR for all of my intercontinental travel I had a difficulty grasping the fact the flight to Toronto was in the air just 10 minutes after the scheduled departure time when I was at MAN a couple of weeks back

The YYZ-MAN route was handed over to BMI by AC for this summer only. The nonstop route will end on Oct 27. No winter nonstop service is planned.
Whether AC or BMI will fly the route next summer has yet to be announced. Given AC's financial situation (ie, bankruptcy/potential liquidation) and shortage of 767's, and BMI relative surplus of 332's, it would seem reasonable that BMI would continue the route in 2005.
Cheers
Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.
