I was driving past Lindbergh around 7:30pm this evening and saw a Midwest MD80 parked opposite the terminal near the control tower and parked next to a Continental 737-800 does anyone know why it was there? Was it diverted from LAX or is Midwest offering service between SAN and MKE for the summer. That would be great as long as it is traditional Midwest service and not their saver service.

I would guess that it is carrying the lowly Kansas City Royals from Kansas City and then to Minneapolis for their series against the San Diego Padres, then against the Twins. That's my best guess but I could be wrong.

Considering the Kansas City Royals are playing the San Diego Padres this weekend at Petco, I think its a pretty safe bet that the plane is a charter for the Royals. I think Midwest does their share of charters since they have many planes already in an all first class layout.

Edit: I was beat by 26 sec. Sorry for the duplicate answer.

Kansas City (MCI) isn't a focus city for YX. It is their 2nd hub. A few years back there were rumors that YX was moving HQ to MCI from MKE. Never materialized though.

Hey Obama, keep the change! I want my dollar back.

Hang him for TREASON!!!

What kind of American are you?

Why, I'm just a lowly, unedumucated redneck, and I like baseball.
