One of my favorite topics:
News at ZRH for the coming winter season:
-Maersk 2x daily to CPH with 737
-Styrian Spirit 3x daily to SZG with CRJ
Not yet confirmed:
-Swedline to Norrköping (ZRH-Norrköping? Is there enough traffic?)
-Virgin Express 2x daily to BRU with 733
-Easyjet 2x daily to SXF with 737 (If this comes true its a big surprise for me, I thougt that EZY wants to leave ZRH....)

i totally agree with you,unique
a couple of weeks ago EZY was supposed to cancel its ZRH-LTN flight in favour of a further expansion out of BSL.
it seems that ZRH is too important for EZY and all they wanted to do was to make pressure on airport authorities. not a very smart move by EZY to play poker.
Last Flight: BSL-AMS on EZY, Next Flight: ZRH-LHR on LX

The name of the new airline based in Norrköping is Swedjet not Swedline=). First of all they will start traffic Norrköping-CPH in September 2004 with a CRJ-700(I Think). They have said they have plans for new traffic from Norrköping to Balticum, Zürich, Stockholm-Arlanda and Oslo Rygge in 2005.

Very unlikely that they (LX) commence service to any other airports in Great Britain than LHR, MAN and BHX.
I think ZRH-NCL would have a lot of potential, operating with a 50-seater in this niche market would generate quite high yields...
Also there are a lot of people going to Scotland, but lots of them are taking the charter flights or take low cost flights via London.
I think cities like Liverpool and Newcastle are underestimated by the big carriers. They should rather offering service to those cities than trying to compete with 3 different carriers on certain routes (ZRH-VIE, ZRH-London etc.)

Swiss or Crossair used to operate scheduled flights into EDI successfully pre 9/11.
These charters by Swiss and Germania are now the only connections we have with Zurich, but these are caterign for the Swiss tourists anyway.

Aerolineas Argentinas is planning to restart service from EZE to ZRH via Madrid. Services Madrid-ZRH-Madrid will be done with B737-300 leased from Air Plus Comet, or maybe with the MD88 AR placed in Madrid last month.

In the magazine Airliners World it's also written. The airline is called Quincy International Airlines and started operation on 21st June to CDG. There plans are to add services from London, Frankfurt, Rome and Zurich to Accra in the coming months.
Simle at the world and the world smiles back :)
: http://www.qinterair.com/main.html, but I'm not yet convinced... Another article talking about ZRH: http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/
: Another new one to ZRH: EAE from FMO 2x daily Mon-Fri with Metroliner from Sep. 13th on.
: At the end of the winter schedule, Qatar Airways might upgrade it's ZRH flight from 319LR to A300 or 332.
: Finnair will most likely add more scheduled flights from Rovaniemi (RVN) and perhaps from Kittilä (KTT) to ZRH as those were very popular flights las
: Lufthansa is reportedly adding a 7th daily Frankfurt-Zurich flight. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.
