With DL (Connection) dropping its PHL-BOS service this August (see thread-link) http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/1641552/;
I'm curious to know how many carriers have flown the route over the years.

Here's the ones I know right off the bat:

American Eagle (not sure if AA ever flew mainline on this route)

Business Express (under DL and later AA)

Delta/Delta Connection

AirTran/ValuJet

Allegheny/USAir/US Airways

Eastern (?)

Midway (the original, my first PHL-BOS r/t itinerary)

Nations Air

Northeast

Trump Shuttle

Any others?

I believe Air Florida connected the two cities in the mid-80s.

Didn't several international flights include PHL-BOS? BA, maybe PA, maybe Swissair?

I'll check with my aunt if Gulf Air, Inc. ever flew PHL - BOS. She was a BOS based flight attendant with them and I think I saw a picture of her in a PHL newspaper (long time ago, as Gulf Air, Inc. shut down in 1990) about delays. Any service, I guess, would have been charter or repositioning, as they were charter only.

Yes, of course! Swissair flew ZRH-BOS-PHL. Duh! (I flew the darn thing.)

I'm the expert on here on two things, neither of which I care about much anymore.
