US Airways will launch three daily non-stops (two dailies on Saturdays) between Charlotte and Evansville, Indiana starting 8 September 2004. All flights will be operated by ERJs, replacing the three daily ERJs that US Airways currently flies between Pittsburgh and Evansville that end the day before.

Looks like just another shifting of service related to the de-hubbing on PIT. With all the new regional service being announced to CLT, does anyone know the status of the addition to Concourse E? It's already pretty full, and regional service to CLT looks like it is only going to grow. If US Express doesn't get more space, life is going to get quite hairy. I've already seen them occasionally using D gates for regional flights to relieve the congestion.

Back in the early 90s, US had 3x daily flights IND-EVV. They also had 3x daily DAY-EVV, as well as daily mainline service to PIT and CLT. The IND flights were on D9S, DAY was on 734 and 72S, PIT & CLT were on 73S.

I believe that you will see more CLT service from some of the cities losing PIT service. I do know that US is going to be starting PIT-LNS service Sept 5th with 1900's operated by Mesa/AirMidwest. Also the LNS airport Board has a plan that is almost finished that would bring US CRJ's/ERJ's to LNS from CLT in mid to late 2005 and possibly to PHL at the end of 2005 or early 2006. This is all contingent on the runway lengthening project to get it to 7,000 feet being done by that time because right now it is only 5,400ft or so.

There are only two out of St Louis that I know of, Boeing with SEA (90% certain) and A-B with JAX.
Does anyone actually know what the schedule will look like? Someone has to have heard some rumors as to what it will look like.
I know in STL when AA was preparing to make cuts, we had the people painting rosey 100 flights being cut picture and the gloom and doom spoke city (more so on the latter). Only 200 were cut, and we were left with a o/d test lab.
Let's hope PIT isn't stripped of a ton of service....

RDU once had about 5-6 733 service to PIT daily. As of September 9, we have a 7am and 6:55pm 733, and a 1:30 and 2:45 pm Dash 8-300 to PIT! I wonder what is going to be dropped next? The 2 dash and just leave the 2 733, or just leave one of each? However, I do wish US would replace some of these lost flights somewhere else in their system.. 8 flights to CLT (6 mainline & 2 RJ), 6 mainline flts to PHL, 6 RJ flights to LGA, and 3 flights to DCA. No flights to BOS. Those those aren't bad, we are losing about 4 flights to PIT.
