Yes, Air Scandic operate 2 of their own ageing A300s, and have leased in 2 Finnair 757-200s each summer for the last few years, which are operated in full Finnair colours. I must admit, I didn't think they operated across the Atlantic either.
Does anyone know if SCY have any replacements in mind for the 2 A300s? A new livery certainly wouldn't go amiss either!

The SCY A300s are busy on UK-Europe flights. The 757s although fly via Gander outbound, are flying nonstop on the inbound flights back to the UK.
SCY flights to Orlando Sanford fly from MAN,GLA,BFS,NCL and BHX, all using the 757-200.

I dont know how true it is but i was told that the SCY livery was designed on Microsoft paint! their website is a bit "ala geocities" too. But hey, ive heard the crew are very friendly and I think if they replaced those aged A300's (which wont pass their checks this yr people have said for the last 2 yrs but they keep on going!!) with say a couple of 767's or newer A300's, they will do well. They must be doing something right 'cause they're still flying whereas other UK carriers have been and gone!

....but their livery is not! CLIPART PLANE!
it's all good for those of us who photograph planes, not an all white livery with a blue tail for a change. Probably one of my favorite liveries of any UK aircraft. I think it's kinda cool with that black cheatline, looks like someone threw an egg in there
The A300 was what I thought they were going to bring! i was kinda p%$sed it was an ugly ass boring Finnair
Also any of you in the UK know if MyTravel and Monarch will ever paint their widebodies in new colors?

The design of the livery on Air Scandic A300s is almost the same as the one they had when they flew for Finnair, except for different colors of course. It must have been the cheapest way to make the "Air Scandic-look" by just using the same template with different colors, with the addition of throwing that egg on the tail and side. I also think it looks very clip-art and downright ugly, they were much smarter in Finnair´s blue-and-white colors.
This summer Air Scandic is leasing two B757s from Finnair, which means that Finnair´s own charters from Finland are operating on a very critical schedule. There has already been a few times when a B757 flight had to be operated by two A319s due to breakdown of B757. Good for the passengers in terms of space on board, if you do not mind the delays.

On the Sunday I was at Manchester, and Air Scandic, had to postion in two Excel Airways 757-200's to operate the usually operated A300's flights. They have a partnership with Lapland of Finland, as they have leased the 757-200's for years, also they use MYT's leased 757-200 from time to time.

Fido, if they had the older livery itd be better, but leaving your nationalistic pride aside, that F on the the tail of the new colors is just ugly, plus the dull dark ugly blue with white fuselage doesnt help. The MD-11s look like crap in current Finnair colors. At least air Scandic is "different", and the tail looks more elegant design wise, in an airplane. I'd like to see them bring someting other than a Finnair aicraft.
Some of the MY Travel A332s have the MY on the tail also, and I saw a 767 the other that had some fungus or dirt on the remains of some fuselage titles, looked rather disgusting.
