LOT Polish Airlines: Have They Ordered The 737NG?

In a recent post of an article written by Boeing, there was a list of all 78 airlines that have ordered and/or operate the Boeing 737NG, and they state that LOT Polish Airlines has ordered some. This is certainly news to me! It's excellent, in fact!

Could anybody be so kind as to inform me how many of each variant they've ordered, and when they're scheduled to be delivered?

Yes they did, then it was differed, and I think it is now cancelled....

What ??? I see LOT 738s at Tunis !!! Or are they 734s? Yes you see the B734s at Tunis as LOT don't have any 737NGs in their fleet

The order was for 2 738's which I believe have been deferred, not cancelled outright.




Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Talking about the Eastern European countries. What aircraft can we expect them to order for their future aircraft replacements? AFAIK I heard rumours about Tarom being interested in the A318/320(?) and maybe A330-200? What about CSA and LOT?

The Boeing website shows that LOT ordered 2 737-800s in October 1996 and still has the order listed as unfilled.
