Hey guys.. I was just curious as to what you think the next new service will be? (new airlines, destinations or aircraft types). Here's my personal wish list:
AS 734 (or even an MD-80): SEA - SLC
B6 A319/A320: SEA - LGB to complete with AS, 1 more daily to JFK
AF 772, A340 or 744: SEA - CDG
LH A346: SEA - Frankfurt/Munich
Thai 744: SEA - BKK
QF 744ER: SEA - SYD
FL 73G: SEA - ATL
I think that's about it.. I might remember a few more a little later.
Steve
P.S. Everytime I put in the Frankfurt airport code, it comes up all messed-up, so that's why I spelled it out.

I think AS will definitely be launching out into some more hub airports to the east. SLC is a good one. B6 to LGB I would also bet some money on.
Internationally it would be great to have a flight to Paris, but I don't think any Europe stuff will be happening while the economy is still a bit soft and the exchange rate is attrocious for American visitors at the moment.
Can't wait to see what the plans are for Virgin America.

You shouldn't. jetBlue has no more slots at LGB, and they aren't about to compromise a profitable long-haul flight for flights to SEA, especially with AS in the market.

How bout SEA get their arrivals/departures screens so they stay up-to-date before you add new flights. When you have your screens show 11am-3:48pm and you've got a flight leaving at 4:00 and it finally updates at 3:35, what good does it have to even have the screens?
Hey Obama, keep the change! I want my dollar back.

I hadn't realized that B6 had run out of ALL of their slots at LGB. I thought they had a ton more to play around with? When did they use them all up??

The rumor of AA re-starting SEA-AA), Japan">NRT is floating around again. I work with a retired AA mechanic and his sources say that with NW going down to the 330, AA is seriously thinking about it again. Do they have the AA), Japan">NRT slots?
He also said that AA may wait to see what, if anything UA does in response to NW going to the 330. They may add capacity with a 744.
A BA pilot told me the BA is looking to add capacity to it's SEA-LHR route. The summer's are over-whelming.
A AS pilot told me they are still hearing rumors of LH coming to SEA. As a possible switch from PDX-AB) (FRA / FRF / EDDF), Germany">FRA.
WHAT I WANT
CX SEA-HKG
AF SEA-CDG
NW SEA-HNL/OGG back to a DC10 or 330
NW SEA-AA), Japan">NRT up to the 744 not down to the 330
NW Re-start SEA-KIX
SQ SEA-HKG or ICN

Alexinwa...That is truly a false rumor about Lufthansa considering leaving Portland for Seattle and wish you would stop posting it. According to the port, Lufthansa is very pleased with it's service out of Portland and plans to continue flying here daily..Why would they want to fly out of Seattle when other airlines already fly to Europe 3 daily. I'm sure you people in Seattle would love to see the demised of this service, but it's not going to happen any time soon..You have British Airways, SAS, and Northwest flying to Europe so be grateful...

Rumors at NW is that we'll be starting SEA-CDG sometimes in 2005 to compliment the increasing demand of SEA-AMS and the membership to the SkyTeam Alliance.

Other than International destinations (Paris, please!), is there any domestic places that are NOT served appropriately?? I was just thinking about that and was trying to see if any domestic destinations were underserved from SEA, but couldn't think of one. You would have to admit all the major places are served directly by at least one airline....

No, they have no more slots. The slots were moved to JFK service, and AA also acquired some dormant slots to start LAX and, in October, HNL service from Narita. Also, they have no 777s to start this service. While they have 45+ of the jumbos, they are being used to full capacity on routes to Narita, Heathrow, Gatwick, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires. AA can't even put them on as many routes as they want too.

I would like to see ATA start direct service between SEA and IND
The next generation of aircraft is just around the corner!
