The question is obvious. I found a photo of a China Airlines Cargo 747-400F at Miami International Airport. Does China Airlines Cargo operate regular cargo flights to Miami, or was it a charter flight? Which Asian airlines used to or are still operating to Miami? Is there a market for Asian airlines to Miami, maybe as a leisure destination? It would be nice to see an Asian airline operating flights to Miami. Japan Airlines or ANA (All Nippon Airways) would be nice to see at Miami

I am not entirely sure, but with numerous pictures in the database over the course of about a year, and none with any special remarks, I would assume that, yes, they do have regular service.

Yes, it is a regular schedule flight. It use to share with ATL but I am not sure anymore. China Airlines changes their schedules often.
ATL appears to be more popular for Asian cargo carriers. ATL has EVA, China Airlines, Korean Air, and JAL. Only KE offers passenger service from ATL, flights are usually booked to capacity.
Rumors always fly concerning adding service to MIA. I had heard both EVA and Korean are looking at service. Personally, I would love to see KE add service to MIA, save me a lot of trouble transferring freight to Central and South America.

China Airlines has been flying into MIA for at least the last 5 years.
At one time the flight came from flew to DFW but as stated above it
now transits ATL and ANC to/from TPE.
KE has had interest in starting MIA for nearly 20years, but for whatever
reasons, they have never started their flights. The closest they come is
a cargo Drop Station where they truck their cargo to ATL & JFK

As stated, China Airlines is a regular visitor to Miami. I think three times a week (or is two?). I had thought the routing was MIA-ANC-TPE, but I guess not.
The only other Asian carrier at MIA is El Al Israel Airlines, with two weekly flights to Tel Aviv via Newark (772 during low season; 744 during peak travel).
JAL used to fly to MIA with DC8s in the 1980s, the routing was NRT-ANC-MIA-GRU. Royal Jordanian also flew to MIA in the late 80s/early 90s, routed AMM-VIE-MIA with A310s. That is about it with Asian carriers at MIA, at least passenger-wise.

Hey everybody,
Thanks for your the replies. Can we ever see an Asian airline operate to Miami in the medium or longer term? Is demand from Asia growing to Miami from a tourism perspective?
