Last fall I drove to Pigeon Forge TN. I stopped at an airport that had a road on a hill overlooking the cargo area. It looked like a great spot to shoot the freighters. I would like to return but can't remember if it was LEX or TYS. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Hey Dc8jet;
I used to live in Lexington, KY (LEX) and as far as I know, there were not any good spotting areas. The cargo ramp usually accommodates 721s & occasional 732s . On several occasions, especially around the Derby season times, you'll get to see Govnt. of Dubai (United Arab Emirates) 747sp or A300 parked in that section (Lexington is the horse capital of the world by the way!). As for the airlines serving LEX, DL dominates and the biggest jest would be 732 & MD80s. By the way, the Cargo ramp is not visible from the road, so probably that wasn't LEX, although, I may be wrong!!
