BOEING TO DEVELOP B777 FREIGHTER OVER NEXT FEW YEARS
19 July 2004 / Dow Jones
Alan Mulally, president and chief executive of Boeing Commercial
Airplanes, said airlines are "salivating for a 777 freight version."
"I predict over time a freight version of the 777 will end up
replacing all big freighters today, because of the economics," he
said.
Mulally was responding to questions about the 747, which he said has
high demand as a freighter, especially from Asian customers..

Something I read on another board, I thought would be of interest. I assume the freighter would be based of the high MTOW variants of the 777, namely the 772LR and 773ER. I could see KLM/AF cargo being interested, as well as a few Asian carriers.

Finally, They need to get freighter for the 777 aircraft and this is good for the customers need. When will even to get ordered with the 777-200LR for freighter.
