Hello  Big grin

Fly Hello's website is now available (www.hello.ch). They are still looking for flight attendants. If you would like to work for them, you can apply here:

Frau Nathalie Riesterer, Hello AG, Postfach 238, 4030 Basel-Flughafen, 061 325 35 71, nathalie.riesterer@hello.ch

They have done inspection flights with the BAZL (authorities) recently and the AOC should be given in the next few days.

Also, there are now further information available for the new Lugano, Ticino based airline Darwin. Their first aircraft, a Saab2000 in the colours of the canton of Ticino (red+blue) arrived in Basel from Southend yesterday and is now prepared by Swiss maintenance. They are waiting for their AOC at the moment and are planning to start operations on July 28. They want to fly from Lugano to Geneva, Barcelona and Olbia, from September also to Rome. In two years they already want to operate 4 Saab2000. At the moment they have 10 million Swiss Francs available so this should not be an airline that goes away after a few weeks...

Regards,
RJ100

What about the operation out of Lugano? I thought the Saab2000 is not certified for ops at this airport anymore..........

Cheers, Thomas

@MD-11 forever: Someone told me that only IGS01 approach is not allowed but visual approaches are allowed. With the beginning of the winter schedule they introduce a new system: offset ILS/IGS approach with 5.5 degrees (like in London City).

BTW, Swiss was operating a couple of Saab2000 into LUG recently because Cirrus' DHC-8 was in maintenance.

If you ask me it was silly anyway to forbid some approaches into LUG...

Hope this helps,
RJ100

I like the grey top, but the fuselage is a bit too white for me...

Not bad but I thought they would paint the whole aircraft red and blue...

The pretty grey and white livery is a special paint that will evolve into a red and blue scheme over time if natural conditions demand it.
