Sorry if this was brought up recently, the search engine isn't working for me. Tonight the History Channel is going to airing the Runways episode of Modern Marvels at 8pm EST. Looks interesting.

If this is the same thing I've seen, and I think it is, it's a very interesting program. It talks about the Space Shuttle runway, it's pretty cool! Thanks for the heads-up, I plan on watching it again.

Sounds interesting.

They should have a show about this one though:

The show following the "Runways" will be on jet engines. I think the F22 was mentioned, but I hope to see something on those monster GE115s and the engines for the SR71.

What an incredible show. Makes me think that if we put our minds to it, we could actually have peace on earth. Let's work together.

Next up. Jet engines.

Watched both as I switching back and forth to the Yankees game Smile But I find it really interesting how versatile the P&W J57 was from the U-2, B52, 707, etc...

I watched both shows also.. (while I was 'studying' for a final).. I was very surprised at the versatility of the J57 also. I never realized it was hung on so many aircraft.. Modern Marvels has some good programs.. Big grin

Caution wake turbulence, you are following a heavy jet.

For those of you who do not have it:

http://www.historychannel.com

You can search, to some extent, when certain shows will be aired. And you can buy just about any episode on video.
