Hey, ive noticed when looking on the websites of most of the big flying schools in the USA, it is advertised that graduates of the school hve went on to work for airliners like Ryanair, SAS, BMI, SAA, MyTravel and a whole host of other non-US airlines. But the thing is, these schools only teach FAA licenses, and every airline who publishes is requirements in Europe, require JAA licenses, or licenses from the local CAA/or equivilent. So what do these pilots do? Do they pay to convert to European, or does the airline? IF comverting from on Authority to another is such a pain, then how come so many have supposeed to hve done it?
