Not necessarily to compete with the recent Jetblue thread. However Song will be expanding come Tuesday (8/3) with the addition of a new city. It is an international destination and it is not SDQ. Again the announcement isn't scheduled until Tuesday (8/3)
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Are the pulling planes from another route to support this new destination? Or are they just getting more out of the existing fleet?

Getting more out of the exisiting fleet. I didn't hear any routes being lost that Song flies. Song is getting back a 757 that mainline took from them in May to help support the parked 767-400.
It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

I wonder if it would be STT. It's a big leisure market with very high fares from the continental US (CO from EWR to STT next March is pricing out at ~$750).

ERJ170,
Are you pondering that North Carolina break off from the United States to become an international destination? I think Delta bringing in 767s to RDU is more likely.

I've seen several SONG 757's at CVG over the past couple of months. We all know that SONG is not coming to Cincinnati, so obviously these are equipment substitutions. Just viewing a SONG aircraft at CVG is as close as this airport will ever come to seeing affordable fares.

I would love to see PHX! We lost our daily (Delta) non-stop JFK flights and a return with Song would be great! If not to JFK, then MCO or TPA (I can wish)!

Will be great news to see the airline expand instead of implode as everyone is speculating. Possible only for heavy tourist peak times then cease.
on a Song side note. Was checking loads today on flights from LAX-TPA and LAX-MCO non-rev for Aug 8, "Not Recommended at This Time." - ie, the flight is full and don't even try it. Of course this was on a Sunday morning flight. The TPA-LAX flight on Aug 4 had 70 available seats.

DL needs to make the whole airline like Song, except the international
routes possibly. Most of the people sitting in domestic first class are
not paying F fares, but are up there as a result of the unlimited free
upgrades that Medallion members get.

My understanding is that Song is going to be folded back into Delta due to a lack of success? Delta will have aircraft painted in Song's colors, yet they will be Delta aircraft.
How can one discuss Song adding a city when in fact they will not exist as a separate entity within the next 6m?

I'm not saying that Song has never been at RDU. I've seen them a few times myself as equipment changes, but it said it would be an international destination. I guess some people missed that.

I flew a Song A/C as a subsitute for an MD-88 on MCO to CVG a few weeks back.. It was a nice change.
