Was just wondering what its like onboard TCX? Are they just the same as other UK charter carriers or do they offer a superior service? I will be flying on TCX881K/L in October to Tenerife on a 757-300, so wanted to know your thoughts about them. Whats the 753 like (apart from being long ) to fly on.
Cheers

Cheers 7l
A question about the 753s, are they both MAN based now? As I was looking on the AENA TFS webpage and it showed 2 TCX 753 flights to MAN, TCX470L and TCX881L

The only aircraft fitted with blue leather seats are the 2 ETOPS 757-200's operating the Canada routes, this summer.
Onboard service I think is pretty good in comparison, the crew are very good. current movies on board are Shrek 2 outbound and Day after tomorrow inbound.

GKirk, don't you just love how AENA actually show the aircraft type. Not many other charter (or schedule for that matter) airports do that, apart from Malta.

Overall Tommy Cook are very good, and in my opinion the best charter airline in the business (Yes I may be biased :P ). Well anyways, for starters as already stated the 2 753's (AA and AB) are indeed based at Manchester and have been for the last 2 seasons.
The leather seats are just on the aircraft being used on the canadian affairs charters, and these aircraft are refered to as Boeing187's simply because thats the amount of seats on them.
The 2 A330's (MB and MC) both have IFE in each seat, but the rest of the fleet have the normal drop down screens.
The 753's look modern inside and have the drop down tft's from under the hat racks. Sorry I cant remember the extra legroom seat rows off the top of my head (http://www.thomascookairlines.co.uk/), but they do now charge for them, unless you get a nice ASR to sort u out .
The cabin crew in my opinion are the nicest I have come accross, well they are to me. Much much nicer than BY or XLA, and slightly better than the Monarch and MyTravel crews.
You should have a pleasent flight, and hopefully LSG wont fuck up yet another flight (or if your lucky Alpha will have the contact back by then )

Yeah I have to agree, the TCX crew are some of the best i've come across, friendly, proffesional, up for a laugh and a few hotties too if your lucky! Only downfall according to my mum who flew on their 753 in april to TFS, was that the inflight meal could be better, especially because they now charge extra for them.
My mate told me he read in the Daily Mail today that Tenerife had been having temperatures in the 40C's recently and something about 12 people dying from sun stroke and a red cross station being set up!!

it was mentioned a while back on another forum, not mentioning which. The A320's are supposed to be leaving, and condor are supposed to be sending over some B753's.
The other thing was that they are also in a position to aqquire a new A330 for next summer.

TCX Boeing 757-200 = 235 seats (standard configuration)
TCX Boeing 757-300 = 280 seats
Check their website http://www.thomascookairlines.co.uk as they now have alot of of information about their service, the fleet and online flight search.
