I keep being told there is a separate group for the dc-9 (10 30 40 50) -- can someone please give me the link? I'm a long time NWA platinum ffflyer, upgraded all over both NWA and CO, and have also flown Delta, American, United, misc small carriers in the US, KLM KLM city hopper. etc
So, have flow on DC-9's all over the US, and dc-9 derivatives (MD-80, etc)

I am a bit confused as to what you would like to know, but if you can clarify it, I am sure that someone will be able to help.

Information on the DC-9 -- all varieties -- every time I post something, I get shot down, and am told there is a separate place for the DC-9. Personally, I love them -- the 10, 30, 40 and 50 -- they beat the Airbus any day, to say nothing of the 737 (boring). I fly all over NA, (including Canada and Mexico), and several times of year head to the Netherlands/Germany/UK
So, if someone will point me to the right Douglas Aircraft Forum, for the really great jets that actually fly -- please do so

A lot of the time people have opinions around here and stick to them, specifically about aircraft and airlines. When some people see a DC-9 thread they might think it's a "why doesn't NW retire the DC-9 because they're so old which means unsafe and..." and leave a comment saying in the thread "oh this comes up so often." So their response that there's a separate Douglas board may just be sarcasm. So welcome to a.net! Just remember to take things with a grain of salt

For lots of great stuff on the DC-9 and MD-80, try http://www.hilmerby.com (navigation on top). Great info on instruments and a couple of top-notch flight reports from the flight deck.
