Looking at flight tracker here at work and see that CO 28, a 777 from EWR-LGW, is being diverted to Gander. Looks like it was about 200nm off the coast of Newfoundland when it turned around. Anyone have any info?

Not sure if it is the same in CO parlance, but at my carrier CRC is Central Reservations Control. They are the folks who oversee the content of our CRS (computer reservations system). In SABRE, every flifo entry is entered with reference to a city (or pseudo-city) code and notification code. It's interesting to see how CO's system works with D and P lines, stringing arrival and departure info together on the same line, using different lines for out/off times, etc.

Alpha1 hit the nail on the head. You can with certainty, expect there will be be someone to blame the airline and seek compensation because of a medical situation. It's just sad to see the general airline clientele deteriorate exponentially like it is.

the L1.37 means its Late 1 hour 37 minutes
correct me if Im wrong, but I believe the ")" means that ACARS updated flifo, as opposed to dispatch or operations, which would result in a * after the time.
and the last line is the page that CARS makes in the DRS for reaccommodation for any passengers that need protection. From what Ive noticed, usually the page is totally randomly named, which is why it has CNL in there (for cancelled) Hopes this helps!

well if i haven't gotten anything else out of this thread, i've gotten a new phrase to use...i never really thought about how a person could be called on such crap, but now i guess its possible since Alpha1 was just called on it!
"that's crap and you're being called on it!" will be my new phrase of choice....
