Unions representing ground handlers for BA have rejected arbitration in their quest for increased wages. BA are offering 8.5% over 3 years (10.5% if no money into pensions).

I guess balloting for strike action will continue. Last year wildcat strikes at LHR cost BA £40Million. The airline says there is a long way to go before any industrial action actually takes place. Well, just in case, let me book my flight on another airline!

Who needs this?

Clealry the unions know that BA's offer is fair - the only reason you wouldn't go to binding arbitration is if you know you're going to lose.
