Why are the Dolphins going to Houston? The preseason doesnt start for another week at least and even then they are opening up at home vs. the Jags...

Ya they used to do some joint practices here in south florida with certain teams as well. It's great to see AA763's instead of 757 as their charter.

The Cowboys have the same types of charters set up to fly them around for different scrimmages.
The team always prefers a 767 if available and AA tries to make it happen if the aircraft is available. Usually, they are 757 types though. Interestingly enough, it was originally going to be a 777 FLL-EFD today and a 767 EFD-FLL on the 7th.

The Dolphins are having a scrimmage with the Texans. A 767-300 may be too large to handle at Hobby; even though there are rumours that a Sun Country or Northwest DC10 landed there once a few years ago. EFD is more private--very little chance of excess media and autograph chasers--plus its closer than IAH to the CBD of Houston.

I thought the head coach and his assistants sit in first class, along with the owner.
The players sit in steerage class.
This is at least what the Cowboys did when Jimmy Johnson was coach.
