Heard that BA will go triple daily eventually. But when? They have already added 3 additional weekly flights.

And Virgin? Are they going double daily anytime soon? HKG-SYD is about to start soon......

Who has the largest market share on this route? CX? QF? BA? Guess CX still?

Well, I highly doubt, that any airline would release exact figures of their pax numbers, yield figures and market shares.

It should be easy to calculate their market share of total seats offered or of the number of flights operated.

CX are working on a 4th daily flight to LHR. Maybe sometime next year.

Although they are not among the leaders, VS also operates this route.

Well, VS is cheaper in China town (by £50), but I still perfer CX (support local airline), although BA is cheapest it is going a bit downhill compare to late 90's.

If the proposed CX LHR-JFK deal with VS is approved by the EU, then increased services to HKG from both is likely to service their new onward destinations. Exact pax figures from the airlines will be very classified.

Is there still a lot of competition between CX and BA? I know that they were large rivals on this route many years ago and and also in the early days, but now with both being members of OneWorld, have things changed?
