Whatever Happened To Gary Toomey, CEO Of AN & NZ

Does anyone know wht happened to Gary Toomey after AN went bust and he got the boot from Air New Zealand?.

I recall him saying he was bitually umemployable in the aviation industry after Ansett's demise.

...and can we please not make this a flame war!!!

Absolutely!!!!

He was last reported of in the "biz gossip" column of the Aust. Financial Review a week or so ago, as having attended some corporate celebration in Sydney. According to the article, he now lives in Auckland, and it went on to say that having made quite a pile of $$$$ out of his stint at AN (...now why doesn't that surprise me???...), he is now basically a "gentleman of leisure".

I think it would be hard for him to find work in any industry espcially the aviation industry. Might as well take an early retirement.
