Following the launch of Salt Lake City-Cancun, Delta now plans on launching service on Salt Lake City-San Jose del Cabo (Los Cabos). Service is set to start on or around 31 January 2005 pending government approval. Delta plans to operate daily service during peak travel, Saturday service at other times.

There is a lot of new service being planned in the coming months from US cities to Mexican beach destinations.....it seems that after years of neglect, many of the US carriers suddenly discovered or rediscovered destinations like Cancun, Los Cabos, and the like. What sparked all of this renewed interest in serving Mexico?

finally a NEW route that will make some REAL $$$ money excellent choice delta
(Sigh)............. I have said delta should start this route for the last two years it is a guranteed money maker . I think that SLC to Acapulco could make some serious cash as well!!! we need to think outside the box and not try to face the SWA or Airtran head to head cause if we do we will be beat (sad but true)
P.S. Delta abandon DFW as a mini hub save some face don't let airtran beat us at two hubs
