Just wondering if there was any new news regarding AA retiring the F100. Has the date changed or anything like that? Thanks.

Justin

Wow... This is what I get for not paying attention to the forums and the airline industry news! I didn't even know they were planning to retire the Fokker 100's. According to your info, Justin, when is that supposed to be happening?

I must say, I'm glad they are retiring them though... I always thought AA's livery looked terrible on them.

hello all,

JFKLGAflyer: there aren't many F-100's left in the AA fleet, a lot of them has been sold to other carrier's like Helvetic , the airline from swiss...

The F-100s don't fly to DFW anymore, either -- they're all based at ORD.

Yeah I'm trying to book a final flight on the F-100 to ORD from MSP. I sure hope I can get another one in before they're gone.

I think I read on another thread some time ago that the last Fokker flight will be the last departure out of HPN for ORD on September 8.

Personally, I liked the F100 in the AA livery, although I didn't like the tail number painted at the bottom of the vertical stabilizer.
