US AIRWAYS ADDS FIVE NEW PHILADELPHIA GOFARES MARKETS

ARLINGTON, Va., August 11, 2004 -- US Airways® today expanded its low, simplified GoFares® pricing in Philadelphia with the addition of Fort Myers and Sarasota, Fla., Milwaukee, Wis., Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Savannah, Ga., available for purchase immediately.

As of this month, US Airways offers GoFares on nearly 14,000 seats each day from Philadelphia.

In support of the new GoFares markets, Seth “The GoFares Guy” will be in Philadelphia on Aug. 11 and 12, giving Philadelphians many chances to win tickets. For more information, visit gofaresguy.com.

Fort Myers $109 $294
Milwaukee $97 $299
Myrtle Beach $99 $234
Sarasota $109** $299
Savannah $109 $227

**Requires roundtrip travel, 21-day advance purchase and one-night minimum stay

*US Airways’ GoFares are simple, however, in addition to the fare, the federal government requires that the company collect a tax of $3.10 every time a customer takes off on one of US Airways’ planes, plus $2.50 per segment, up to $10 per trip (the September 11th Security Fee). Some of the airports that customers might visit also charge up to $4.50 for passing through, but the total is capped at $18 per trip. The lowest fares must be purchased 14 days in advance (except Sarasota), are one-way, and are nonrefundable. Last minute fares are also available one-way. Other restrictions may apply. For more details, see usairways.com/gofares.

US Airways has many other airline partners, and a part of a GoFare or any other trip might be on one of the partner’s airplanes. These GoFares are available for travel on the US Airways Express® carriers Air Midwest, Chautauqua, Colgan, Mesa, MidAtlantic Airways, Piedmont, PSA, Shuttle America or Trans States. A flight also might be operated by our Star Alliance partner United Airlines®. For all of the details about GoFares, including a few other restrictions, please go to usairways.com.

US Airways introduced the first phase of its GoFares in Philadelphia on April 29, 2004, and GoFares are now available on 22 routes to and from Philadelphia and 39 routes from Washington. A full list of GoFares markets is available online at usairways.com/gofares.

US Airways is the nation’s seventh-largest airline, serving nearly 200 communities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. US Airways, US Airways Shuttle and the US Airways Express partner carriers operate over 3,300 flights per day. I'm the expert on here on two things, neither of which I care about much anymore.

And your comment is what? Posting someone else's press release is one thing....most of us have the same sources....but adding a comment or reason why you're posting it would be more interesting and might spark a good discussion.

RSW--AirTran market
SAV--AirTran market
MKE--ATA/ ATA Connection market
MYR--AirTran market
SRQ--down the road from TPA

Let's see those GoFares from PHL to ROC, BUF, GSO, DAY, and GSP! No doubt USAirways can hardly wait to bring reasonable prices to these longtime US Airways markets! No more $350-$800 fares!
