Wow, that's great. Now I want to see a NW DC-9 pull up next to that bad boy. Wonder how long it's going to stay around.....PHL weather is by no means improving from now through the rest of the evenings. Thunderstorms are on their way here as we speak!

DL 149 FCO-JFK diverted to PHL this afternoon as well. What's up with all these diversions?

Wow, it must be a madhouse down there today. In addition to all the diversions, the local ABC news affiliate here is reporting that there was a terminal evactuation after a security breach. See http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/news/081104_nw_airportsecurity.html.

Sounds like somebody's having a case of the Mondays.

UA 4 is gone, but for some reason NW18 is still at the gate.

Guys.. I swore I saw what I though was an AN124 on approach this afternoon.. It certainly wasn't a 747 and sure as hell wasn't an A340.. Can anyone confirm this aircraft??

Yes, the AN 124 is in town again. I saw it on approach (along with the NW 744) while installing a new window in my house. Sometimes I wave; I'm curious if anyone actually takes notice from +/-1800'

Just saw a DL 763 real low and going faster than normal over my house entering downwind. I heard on the scanner DL 190, so i did a track and it says LAX-PHL. So i assume another JFK maybe even a LGA diversion.

Is that a UAL 767 on the cam now, or is that something usually scheduled to PHL? -Matt in KITH

Yeah Matt, that's the 767. We usually don't get UA 767s here in PHL, so its most definitely a diversion.

FYI UA 4 had to push early and go out and sit. We needed the gate for the SFO divertion.

Everybody left so all is well. Busy day in PHL.

BTW there was a security breach and they evacuated the B/C concourse. Fortunately, they managed to keep D and A secure. With all the delays and not being able to use US's nonstops because of the breach, it turned into a zany day.
