Recently I have noticed 34L being used heavily, infact, that is the only active arrival runway right now and has been for the past 2-3 hours. Runway 8 is currently the only active departure runway for the last 2-3 hours. Any reason for this? Why all of sudden 34L being used for arrivals. I got some amazing approach shots today, and they were coming in one after another since that was the only runway being used. Why not utilize all four of the runways in that direction? I imagine some delays.

Looking at the DEN items, it looks like there is some major work going on with the LOC's and ALS. If there was weather in the approach paths for the runways and a/c were forced to perform an instrument approach, then 16R/34L is about the only fully functional instrument runway available. I don't know what the deal is, but I see that the ILS's at FTG are also being pulled from service for a few hours. Interesting.
Side note, there is the NOTAM for Aurora Airpark being closed for good (01V) - Sad.
