It would seem things are getting worse and worse for travelers at LHR

In short United Airlines ground staff at London's Heathrow Airport have voted to strike after rejecting a pay offer from the troubled US airline, a union officer said on Thursday.

The Transport & General Workers Union (TGWU) said about 700 United Airlines baggage handlers and check-in staff at Heathrow had agreed to a walkout.

No date for strike action had been set but union officials would meet on Thursday to plan further action.

A little more less revenue and more amenities to disrupted pax adds a little more to the drain...The clock in running, folks.

If two people agree on EVERYTHING, then one isn't necessary.

Please understand--I love UA. I have always been treated well and felt like they were happy to have me aboard. A big reason in why I stopped flying AA is because I was treated like crap.

Sometimes it seems to me that its own employees enjoy making the tinker on the edge of death.

Last time I flew out of LHR on UA, we were on the plane (very empty, 767-300ER), and they made the annoucement that ground crew should leave the aircraft because the doors were closing. I was excited as this was about 35min early. However, maybe it is slot restrictions, but we sat on the ground for 35min at the gate and left on time. Thank God for Channel 9!!!

Keep on truckin'...
