My grandfather used to talk about how the family would all go to the airport to watch the DC-3 comming in.

My father still talks about his first 707 flight.

What memories will we share with the next generation? Will it be a trip in the Concorde? Perhaps a first "Edge of space" flight? Will it be a rount the world journey?

Just kidding!  Smile

I'd tell them about my flights on 707s, IL-62s, DC-8s, Martin 404s, DC-10s, 747-100s, 747-200s, 727s, 737-200s, cocktail lounges in 747-100s, Peoples Express, Pan Am, Eastern Airlines, Western Airlines, F/As, 8 door stretched airport limosines, Republic Airlines, traffic due to construction getting to ORD (still an issue, and will be an issue in 40 years), Meigs Feild, shag carpeting in airplanes.

When is NW going to get rid of those old 7e7s?
Airbus and Boeing use to be two separate companies.
Were AF planes that dirty 50 years ago?

If not now, then when?
