Wondering what the latest is on this issue. Anyway. . .

Found this great detailed site with maps of the current status and the proposed ideas. Some of the proposed ideas are amazing with as many gates and a/c areas they show. . .wow.

Okay, to view the pictures of LAX possibilities, click the link and when the page comes up, look to your left at "Alternatives Under Study" and click on that, and *poof* your there.http://www.laxmasterplan.org/

Alternative D is the only one currently under consideration. The rest fell through the cracks during the Riordan's tenure. The continued ineptitude and lack of vision of the Los Angeles city council and county board of supervisors is nothing short of appalling.

Forget LAX...all of this is pure hype.

LAX has gotten as good and big as it's going to get. The future is not the West Side, but Orange County, the High Desert, and Inland Empire.

Let's see Ontario and Palmdale beefed up, and perhaps March ARB, and Victorville (VCV) brought on line.

The idiot crybabys NIMBY's in South OC shot down El Toro plan (which was a golden opportunity), so let them suffer with SNA.

And rampant, shortsighted out of control development in San Diego county has pretty much left no feasible location for a new/second airport, so they will be stuck with SAN forever.

LAX definitely needs some improvement. They really need a People Mover. Connecting flight at LAX is a major pain having to exit one terminal to catch airport bus to another terminal. Let's hope one of these plans will go through.
