bmi and Arsenal FC have teamed up to allow bmi to be the "official" carrier for the Arsenal squad.

From the Press Release:
bmi, has pleasure in announcing today, that it has signed an agreement to become the official airline of Premier League champions Arsenal FC. This represents bmi’s biggest and most exciting sponsorship activity to date and is the company’s first foray into English football.

In addition to securing the rights to adopt the ‘official airline of Arsenal FC’ tag-line and the usage of the club’s logo, name, trademark and imagery across all bmi marketing materials, the deal also provides bmi with a presence at Highbury. bmi will have perimeter advertising boards, logo display on media backdrops, home match programme advertising, ground access for selected ground sampling, as well as hospitality packages for commercial and promotional use.

As part of this agreement, bmi will have the right to market to Arsenal FC’s database, as well as providing fantastic fare offers for their leisure travel to all bmi destinations throughout the year. This will help bmi raise brand awareness and generate incremental revenue in our home market.

Well that's quite cool.

So Emirates vs BMI is essentially another Arsenal vs Chelsea battle, this time on the pitch and not the runway?  Big grin

In Arsene we trust!!
